Head to https://www.coursera.org/specializations/gcp-architecture to explore the updated content.
The first course in the original Specialization, GCP Fundamentals, will remain as a standalone course offering a broad introduction to GCP. Head to https://www.coursera.org/learn/gcp-fundamentals/home/welcome if you would like to take this course.
This course covers the details of Computing, Storage and Security on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You should be familiar with the fundamentals of working with Google Cloud Platform before working through this course. If you’re new to cloud in general, or Google Cloud Platform in particular, you should first work through our introductory course, Google Cloud Platform Fundamentals.
In this course, you learn how to manage both individual and groups of instances or virtual machines and their related resources like disks and IP addresses. You also learn about creating and configuring networks and firewall rules from scratch. You learn about securely managing access to your projects using Identity and Access Management or IAM. Finally, you learn about managing Google Cloud Storage resources in your projects.
Notes:
• You'll need a Google/Gmail account and a credit card or bank account to sign up for the Google Cloud Platform free trial (Google is currently blocked in China).
• There is a known issue with certain EU countries where individuals are not able to sign up, but you may sign up as "business" status and intend to see a potential economic benefit from the trial. More details at: https://support.google.com/cloud/answer/6090602
